About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead business development, customer service, and operational functions for a local community bank branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in branch management and a proven track record in deposit gathering.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all branch operations, including service and sales activities, ensuring growth and profitability.
  • Develop and implement local sales and marketing plans to drive business development.
  • Maintain and expand customer relationships through proactive outreach and cross-selling of banking products.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies (e.g., BSA, CRA).
  • Manage branch budgets and control expenses.
  • Engage in community activities to promote the bank's presence and reputation.
  • Lead, train, and motivate branch staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Stay current on all banking products and services to support staff development.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years in banking, with at least 5 years in branch management at a commercial/community bank.
    • Strong focus on deposit gathering; lending experience in commercial real estate, construction loans, and business lines of credit is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of branch operations, risk management, and customer service.
    • Proven business development and leadership abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Cantonese required.
